Post-Chemotherapy Cycle #05 Comment #04

This week, if my platelet count is in the 90 and above range, I would be undergoing my 6th cycle of chemotherapy. I don’t know if will surprise you to hear that I am looking forward to it.  I am looking forward to completing the 8th cycle so that I can go for the follow-up CT scan to see the improvement in the condition.

From about last Saturday onward, I feel more like normal and have been going through regular routings but I have also been napping in the afternoon to give my body some rest. The only drawback during this period if you can it that is that I am eating a lot per meal when I am supposed to be eating less per meal but more frequently in order to control my blood sugar level.

A lot of people had mentioned that I looked “well” and “normal” and I think God for it because it is Him that is helping me. A lot of people also said that a lot of it also had to do with mental strength but I have a different opinion on that. Please read my next blog, my take on this will be in there.

Today, a fellow worship team member sent me a Youtube link to a song:

The title of the song is “I look to you”.  The song was originally sung by Whitney Houston (written by R Kelly) but the Youtube link was sung by another person.

As I lay me down
Heaven hear me now
I'm lost without a cause
After giving it my all

Winter storms have come
And darkened my sun
After all that I've been through
Who on earth can I turn to?

I look to you
I look to you
After all my strength is gone
In you I can be strong

I look to you
I look to you
And when melodies are gone
In you I hear a song, I look to you

About to lose my breath
There's no more fighting left
Sinking to rise no more
Searching for that open door

And every road that I've taken
Led to my regret
And I don't know if I'm gonna make it
Nothing to do but lift my head

I look to you
I look to you
And when all my strength is gone
In you I can be strong

I look to you
I look to you
And when melodies are gone
In you I hear a song, I look to you

My levee's have broken, my walls have come
Crumbling down on me
The rain is falling, defeat is calling
I need you to set me free

Take me far away from the battle
I need you, shine on me

I look to you
I look to you
After all my strength has gone
In you I can be strong

I look to you
I look to you
And when melodies are gone
In you I hear a song, I look to you

I may not agree with some of the words in the entire song as it is not a true or complete reflection of the situation or mental state that I am in but the chorus does ring a bell:
I look to you
I look to you
After all my strength has gone
In you I can be strong

I look to you
I look to you
And when melodies are gone
In you I hear a song, I look to you

If I were to translate the chorus into a more “Christian” song, it would be:
I look to You, Lord
I look to You, Jesus
After all my strength has gone
In You I can be strong

I look to You, Father
I look to You, Spirit
And when melodies are gone
In You I hear a song, I look to You

I look to Him and In Him I Trust.
